I trust all of you are doing amazing and this email is finding you with beautiful smiles. I would like to take a moment and acknowledge each and everyone of you who have touched my life and heart in your own special way. I am most grateful to your continuous support & belief in my vision as without you, I would not be sharing the following news with you.
As most of you already know, I opened the doors to my spa which was called "Derma Hair Care LLC" on June 27th 2006 and what an amazing journey these past 4 years has been. Here is a quick overview to share with you:
* In less than one year of opening the center, my spa received the most amazing recognition by Green America as the 1st holistic & green medi spa in the USA after months of strict screening.
* Soon after that it also received the Gold Certification from GenGreen Business as a recognized green company as well as it supported by Live Green as a socially responsible green company.
* It went through a name change from Derma Hair Care LLC, to Holeco® Wellness Medi Spa to better capture the essence of my practice that focused on respecting the health of ourselves and the wellness of the environment in every business decision.
* Within this time, holeco® life, my private eco-conscious “rooted beauty” product line, introduced its very first product, the mineral foundation sunblock brush, to the market at the Designers and Artist Show in LA for their Green Event. My company was one of only 7 eco-cosmetic companies invited to participate at this event.
* Following the launch of the mineral powders, an entire line of products (personal care, mineral make up, aromatherapy oils, baby care, raw chocolates, soy candles & accessories) was created by holeco® life project to help raise the level of consciousness towards honoring one’s health, wellness of the planet as well as making a contribution to the lives of those in need. Thus, I dedicated every single product to introducing International Lifeline Fund's efforts of Clean Water & Fuel Efficient Stove projects in developing countries in Africa. Holeco life project is about amazing women that have come in alignment with me as a community to help other women in need in other communities.
* Holeco® was blessed to find its perfect match, Flor Escapes, as its wellness destination partner to bring complete wellness destination retreats to its clients & teach educational workshops in Mexico.
* After 2 years of searching for a space, Holeco® Wellness Medi Spa finally moved from Falls Church VA to Washington DC in September 2009 & joined National Integrated Health Associates NIHA to help bring complete wellness to clients' needs.
* My center changed its slogan to “a holistic, eco-conscious medi spa & healing center” to once again come to a place of surrender of what the underlying reason is that people come to see us for treatments: HEALING.
All I can say is that I am beyond grateful to all the blessings, teachings, lessons, challenges and love that has surrounded me and my amazing teammates (Nattasha, Amanda, Rachel, Guang, Anita, Angela, Tracy, Atieno, Lara, Evelyn, Kristen, Amy & Sarah) during these times. We have had the pleasure of having the most amazing clients who have supported us and believed in our way of looking at holistic beauty. I feel so humbled & grateful for everything. As I have grown from the inside out during the last 4 years, lots of shifts has also been taken place on the outside as well to help match what has been taking place on the inside. During the last year, spending time with my teacher Suchinta Abhayaratna Th.D has been one of the most amazing gifts I have ever received and I have come to learn & feel that a greater purpose in life is coming my way.
My dear friends, that time has come for me at last in the form of the most peaceful guidance within. In order to honor my true path, I have surrendered to this amazing powerful message within and have chosen to close one door to make room for the next chapter in life. This means, I have decided to close Holeco® Wellness Medi Spa in late August & transition into going completely full time with the holeco® life product line to help educate the world through the eye of holistic & non-toxic beauty that stems with our roots (“rooted beauty”) to create positive impact in our world. The last day that we will be seeing clients will be on August 26th, and we will be packing up on that weekend. Thus, if you have left over treatment from your package, I highly recommend that you schedule your appointment immediately as we will be very busy in the next 6 weeks making time to see everyone for their last visit. I am completely aware this news may be of total surprise to many of you. It was also a bit surprising to me as well, and at the same time very peaceful & powerful when I felt this knock within myself that indicated "the time has come for me to serve a higher purpose in life". My staff has been tremendously supportive of this transition and I will continue to work with them in a different formats. I will take the opportunity that closing the spa will give me to spend precious time with my husband & my boys: Kiyan and Nevan who continue to inspire me to grow more every day. In addition, I will also use it to further grow and nurture the holeco® life product line to its highest purpose by facilitating holistic eco-beauty workshops around the country. As holeco® life grows, I can really see where it is heading, and it is a beautiful place where positive change is taking place with higher consciousness & unity of beings together.
Since my product line is a wonderful match with the philosophy of nature, I will be doing more work in the West Coast (consulting, providing holistic workshops, public speaking and more) and will be especially be busy with my new products made specifically for young girls ages 7-13 called "holeco® girls" which will involve education for both privileged and underprivileged young females. Details on this will be announced later on in August.
